Since Schooling he was always ahead of the academic curriculum and graduated with honors. He stood 4th in merit in Gujarat state board in 12 th science. In postgraduate entrance exams he stood 2nd in the state. In superspeciality entrance exams he was first in Maharashtra state superspeciality exams. In Gastroenterology he was university first in 2012 in MUHS.

He has special interest in field of advance interventional endoscopy. He received prestigious Don Wilson award in year 2014 from American society of gastrointestinal endoscopy. He was trained in Endoscopic ultrasound by team of renowned endoscopists (Dr shyam varadarajulu, Dr Robert Hawes, Dr Mohhammed Hasan) at “Center for interventional endoscopy “ florida, USA. Dr Chirag N Shah is very good in innovation in Gastroenterology and believe best consultation to Patients. He has presented and published research articles in Indian and International conferences. Dr Chirag has written chapters in surgical textbook of Gastroenterology.

Dr Chirag N Shah innovated mobile application FECOGRAPH for monitoring patients of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) which is available on Google play store. The abstract of FECOGRAPH was presented at DDW 2015 when Dr Shah awarded as investigator.
